All brides want the best for their wedding day, from the dress, venue and vows to the hair and makeup. The pressure all brides feel can be enormous but let's forget the rest and concentrate on what we do best, making you look and feel the best you have ever for you special day. All us ladies want is to feel beautiful so once you have your wedding dress, shoes and jewllery sorted it is great to think about how you want your hair and makeup. As a bride myself I know how important it is to be able to get those things right. Especially when it comes to your makeup because you want to be the best version of yourself, whether you are doing it yourself or have a professional do it, it has to be right.
Here is some tips and tricks for you to have the perfect make up for the perfect day.
-When trying out your makeup look at home or going into salon for your trial makeup always wear a white t-shirt. It helps you see the finished look on the right colour, because white is such a bright colour you might not want to go for very pale lips or cheeks because is may wash you out. If you are wearing a black top when trying out your makeup it might give you a darker look where pale colour look right, which could cause a problem on th morning of your day. If your dress is an alternative colour to white just match a top to your colour dress.
-When thinking about lips all brides want it to be long wearing which can be a problem because of sipping fizz and of course when the vicar announces for the groom to kiss the bride, let alone everyone else's cheek kissing to congratulate your after the ceremony. Firstly line your lips which your chosen colour and blend right into the centre of the lips giving you a blurred base, then my best tip is to try and stick to a lip stain, this applies like a lip gloss but dries as a flat colour, it stains the lips so that is is no transferable unlike lipstick. You can then apply a lightweight gloss if needed, just bare in mind that is you are wearing your veil over your face at the ceremony it may stick to your lips and tack the veil if the gloss is particularly sticky. Also the same goes for long hair if you are wearing it down and it is particularly winding on your day.
-If you are opting for false lashes you'll be fine as long as the are securely applied. But if you wanted to a natural look with mascara make sure is is 100% water resistant/proof. So wants to have panda eyes on their wedding when the emotions start rolling. Also if it is a particularly hot day you want it to be able to stand the heat and not slide and transfer onto your skin. I'd test it out before the wedding to make sure you have the right one for you.
-Less is more with your base. You want to enhance your skin not camaflage it, having regular facials and keeping your skin routine at home up together should prepare you in the best way. So now that your skin is glowing don't cover is all up. If your foundation is too caked on it can look worse in the photos. If you have any imperfections on the day then for sure conceal them up, but as a base I would recommend a soft satin finish, with a medium coverage. Make sure it is completely blended down the neck and and slightly back if wearing you hair up.
-Last but for no means least remember if you are going to have a spray or applied tan before your wedding do this for you test trial too. Otherwise you will be in all sorts of trouble with your bases not blending in with your skin colour on the morning. Also when you are slightly more bronzed you might feel other colours compliment you more such as your lips and cheeks.
Most importantly feel beautiful and enjoy the very best day of your life!
